Travelling to Firepower

Firepower, the Royal Artillery Museum is located in the historic Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, South East London and a short riverside walk from the Woolwich Ferry.

TRAIN
Woolwich Arsenal from Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge. Five minute walk from Woolwich Arsenal to Firepower look for brown Firepower signage.

DOCKLANDS LIGHT RAILWAY (DLR) DLR Woolwich Arsenal Station is now open with trains running at least every ten minutes.  The Woolwich Arsenal extension serves all stations on the London City Airport Route and Canning Town.  Check Transport for London website for details.

BUS Bus routes 472, 161, 96, 180 stop in Plumstead Road outside the Royal Arsenal. Bus routes 53, 54,422,380 stop in Woolwich Town Centre.

TUBE Jubilee Line to North Greenwich, then a short bus ride to Woolwich (161, 422, 472) to stops A & B.

RIVER The Thames Clipper service can bring you to Firepower via the Thames. See http://www.thamesclippers.com for more information.

CAR The Royal Arsenal car park entrance is just off Beresford Street/Plumstead Road A206, easterly from the Woolwich Ferry roundabout (A205). 

The car park for Museum visitors is now the pay and display car park at the southern edge of the Royal Arsenal, located at the Royal Arsenal Plumstead Road entrance, opposite Beresford Square. The Museum is just a short walk from this car park. For parking advice please call 020 8855 7755.






DISABLED PARKING There is limited disabled parking directly outside the Museum. Once within the Royal Arsenal site proceed to Cartridge Place. Barriers restrict vehicle access to this area but disabled visitors and deliveries are allowed through the barrier which is controlled remotely.
