Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm
Sunday and Monday Closed

Last Admission – We recommend visitors allow at least 2 hours viewing time; therefore we advise visitors to arrive by 3.00 pm. However the last admission into the Museum is at 4.00pm.

The museum will be closed Wednesday 22nd May for a private event

CAR PARKING

There is now a ‘green’ pay and display car park off Warren Lane, about a two minute walk from Firepower. Charges depend on vehicle engine size and energy type. E.g. electric/hybrid/petrol/diesel. Electric is 10p an hour, hybrid is 20p an hour, up to 1.5 litres is 40p an hour, up to 3 litres is 50p an hour and above 3 litres is 60p an hour. There is a £1 flat rate fee for any length stay for all cars on a Saturday.

The old entrance to the Royal Arsenal site is now closed. Access to the site by car is now only available via Tom Cribb Road, opposite Plumstead Bus Garage.

There is also a small, free, Museum car park located just behind the Museum which is displayed on the map below. (Note: This car park is small, and is likely to be quickly filled during busy days. All visitors parking in this car park MUST leave their registration at the from desk of the museum. Those who do not do this are likely to get a ticket).

DISABLED PARKING There is limited disabled parking directly outside the Museum. Once within the Royal Arsenal site proceed to Cartridge Place. Barriers restrict vehicle access to this area but disabled visitors and deliveries are allowed through the barrier which is controlled remotely.
