Visitors With Special Needs
The entire Firepower complex is wheelchair friendly and is ramped throughout. Lifts provide access to the first floor exhibition areas and disabled toilets are easily accessible. The Museum has begun a programme of displaying the names of exhibits in Braille alongside flat outline reliefs.
Firepower and the Greenwich Heritage Centre have created a special great value package that will keep groups entertained for many hours. The Heritage Centre is right next door to Firepower so you can easily extend your visit to the Museum without any inconvenience! The Royal Arsenal dates back to Henry VIII and the Heritage Centre traces the site’s 400 year history. During the First World War, the Royal Arsenal employed 100,000 workers and hands-on exhibitions explore the impact of the Royal Arsenal on Woolwich and the lives of those who made the guns now on display in Firepower.
