Ordnance Room

From 1719 this was the meeting place of the Board of Ordnance, which was responsible for the arms requirements for both the Army and Royal Navy, also known as the Grand Salon of the Academy. Distinguished visitors to the Arsenal were entertained in the Ordnance Room and George II dined in this room in 1773 and 1805.

This 100m sq room has an air of grandeur, with high ceilings and stone floors and is ideal for:

  • Theatre style, 50 delegates
  • Classroom layout, 80 delegates
  • Team building exercises, 80 delegates
  • Receptions, 100 delegates
  • Break out room, 25 delegates
  • Seated dining, 80 guests
